Includes tracks I previously made, like 'Where I Found Love' and 'My Life With You', as well as brand new ones, like 'Can't Be With You', 'I Want You Back', and a remix made by Daniel 'Shazam' Hansford! First of all, rules a very vague, and I don’t know if they were the credits that were the problem, or the record label logo, or my own artist logo, but I’m not changing the artwork!
Update: The sent an email back to me, ignoring the actual issue, just saying to change the cover due to it having extra text.
There’s also a feedback form, which is basically unusable because it’s in a completely different language.
I submitted a release called "Love Sensation", by ZeroZed (me) and Luv4Loop on April 10, 2025. A week passes by (now the 16th), and then a moderator which I will not name flags it as sampled content.
I used Shazam, the music recognition service to check what was flagged, and what showed up was just a few false-positive techno songs (like the classic Shazam). So I came back to submit the track, saying that there was no direct sampling.
Another week passes by, and it's April 25, the same moderator flags the same release saying it covers "Love Sensation" by Loleatta Holloway. It did not. I sent moderation@routenote.com an email saying, "This track does not sample the referenced track, anywhere, it just has the same name." They never responded.
3 days later, the release is just gone from my catalog, so I check my email. What happened was the same moderator disapproved my release, with the same details as the first comment they made.
